TEAM Andre Peschong
Andre Peschong - Is a Partner and co-founder of Bridgewater Capital Corporation which launched in January of 1995. At Bridgewater Capital, Mr. Peschong is instrumental in the consummation of over $200 million in equity related PIPE (Private Investment into Public Equity) transactions in various industries with client companies. Mr. Peschong was a Managing Partner of Instream Capital, LLC a San Francisco based fund that specialized in short term secured loans to special situations companies. Mr. Peschong is also a Managing Partner of Oceanus Value Fund LP, which specializes in short term bridge loans made to smaller public and private companies which also include an equity kicker. These structured loans allow for a senior secured position while still participating in an equity upside. From 1991 until 1995, Mr. Peschong was a Sr. Vice President with Bentley, Richards & Associates, an investment banking firm specializing in equity placements with European institutions. While there, Mr. Peschong assembled an extensive database of criteria for the assessment of risk at many different levels, such as: market risk, trading risk, fundamental company risk and economic risk. Prior to joining Bentley, Richards & Associates, Mr. Peschong worked for Cruttenden & Company, a regional brokerage and investment banking firm. Mr. Smedeby has managed and completed transactions well over $250 million in various equity and debt structures. With the responsibility of analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities on a daily basis, Mr. Smedeby has a deep knowledge regarding the capital markets. Mr. Smedeby's primary focus at Bridgewater Capital is M&A, in addition to having an extensive contact base in the European financial community, which has facilitied cross border transactions. Prior to co-founding Bridgewater Capital in 1995, Mr. Smedeby headed up the M&A and Corporate Finance department of Bentley, Richards & Associates. Mr. Smedeby was also one of the co-founders of Bently, Richards & Associates and during his tenure at the firm, it grew to one of the more prestigious specialized investment banking companies in Southern California. Mr. Smedeby is frequently invited as a speaker to industry professionals, high net worth investors, and has served on numerous panels dealing with the capital markets. Mr. Thomsen specializes in financial analysis, forensic accounting, financial statement review, and deal structuring. Prior to co-founding Bridgewater Capital, Mr. Thomsen was the Chief Financial Officer and banker with Bentley, Richards & Associates. From 1983 to 1992, Mr. Thomsen was a licensed CPA for local, national, and international accounting firms, such as McGladery & Pullen and Arthur Young & Co.
